Recomanda un film bun, vechi sau nou nu conteaza, dar care sa merite a fi vazut.

Incursiune in viata soldatilor americani
incartiruiti in Bagdad dupa indepartarea de la putere a dictatorului
Saddam Hussein. Fortele americane incearca sa puna pe picioare un guvern
provizoriu, exact in opulentele palate care adaposteau pana nu demult
camarila lui Hussein. Inspirat de cartea "Imperial Life in the Emerald
City: Inside Iraq's Green Zone" a ziaristului Washington Post Rajiv
Chandrasekaran.

I'll try to recommend some movies that are not so commonly known.


Joyeux Noël (Merry Christmas) - 2005

On Christmas Eve during world War I, the Germans, French, and Scottish
are facing each other in the trenches of war. A great story, I enjoyed it. - drama

Cool Runnings - 1993

Based on the true story of the First Jamaican bobsled team trying to
make it to the winter olympics. A fun movie, a little dated now - comedy

The Ghost and the Darkness - 1995

Set in 1898, this movie is based on the true story of two lions in Africa that killed 130 people over a nine month period... and a courageous man who is tasked to build a bridge and must deal with the lions. I love this movie. It has great suspense, comic relief, and drama.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - 1988


Lawrence and Freddie are con-men; big-time and small time respectively.
They unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to find that this town
(on the French Mediterranean coast) aint big enough for the two of
them. - well written story, unique style of comedy
The Importance of Being Earnest - 2002


Everybody Loves Ernest... But Nobody's Quite Sure Who He Really Is.
In 1890s London, two friends use the same pseudonym ("Ernest") for their
on-the-sly activities. Hilarity ensues. Very witty style of comedy, you REALLY have to pay attention to the dialogue.

I can think of better movies, but these are more likely that you haven't seen them.

I promise I will watch all this movies...sometime I would watch Joyeux Noël.

Joyeux Noël is like 1/3 French, 1/3 German, and 1/3 English, so you get the pleasure of experiencing a good amount of all three languages in one film.

It's funny that orangesodajunkie, who quite possibly loves movies more than any of us, hasn't posted even a single suggestion. Is it too difficult to say a few without saying them all?

1. Ip man 2008 - film biografic ( viata unui maestru de Wing Chun , instructorul lui Bruce Lee)

2. Windstruck 2004 - romanta,comedie ( film ptr. fete in general, dar si ptr. baietii care se considera mai sensibili ))

3. Enemy at the Gates 2001 - razboi,istorie,actiune etc. tot tacamu' ff fain.
